Baked Sweet Potato Fries Seasoned with Plum Powder
Crispy and seasoned with tangy plum powder, these baked sweet potato fries are a deliciously addictive snack or side dish.

INGREDIENTS
600g sweet potatoes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/8 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon plum powder
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2. Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Slice off about 1 cm from the ends, then cut a thin slice along one side to create a stable platform for cutting.
3. Slice the potato lengthwise into 1 cm thick planks, then cut those planks lengthwise into 1 cm wide sticks.
4. Let the sweet potato sticks soak in cold water in a bowl for at least 30 minutes. Remove from water and dry well before seasoning.
5. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato sticks with salt, white pepper, paprika, and vegetable oil until evenly coated.
6. Spread the seasoned sweet potato sticks evenly in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then turn and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
8. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F.
9. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, and then turn again for the final 10 minutes or until the sweet potato fries are crispy and golden.
10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle plum powder over the sweet potato fries.
