Servings: 4 portions
INGREDIENTS
840 g Quebec ribs, cut into individual pieces
1.5 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Sugar
3 tablespoon Garlic, minced
0.5 teaspoon Five-Spice Powder
0.5 tablespoon White Pepper Powder
0.5 tablespoon Black Pepper Powder
0.5 tablespoon Kaoliang Wine or Rice Wine (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare the Ribs: Begin by rinsing the pork spare ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. If they aren't already separated, cut them into individual ribs.
Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine the salt, sugar, minced garlic, five-spice powder, white pepper powder, black pepper powder, and Kaoliang Wine. Mix well to create a marinade.
Marinate the Ribs: Add the ribs to the marinade, ensuring that each rib is evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse the meat. For even better results, consider marinating for a few hours or overnight.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Roast in the Oven: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to make cleanup easier. Arrange the marinated ribs on the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Roast for 45-60 minutes, or until the ribs are tender and the exterior is golden brown and crispy.
Serve: Remove the ribs from the oven and allow them to rest for a few minutes. Then, serve your delicious Roasted Salted Pepper Ribs as a main course.
